Modern Theatre is a diverse dance genre combining styles such as: Ballet, Jazz and hip-hop. It is a fun and energetic style which often proves popular among students, the genre diversifies their dance vocabulary using travelling steps, turns, kicks, leaps, and floor work to both lyrical and up-tempo music. Modern Theatre also increases skills such as flexibility, grace, and stamina, also evoking a greater sense of style and stage presence.

Nova School of Dance follows the I.S.T.D graded syllabus and offers Grades 1 - Intermediate level classes. Students are placed in appropriate classes not specifically based on the age but ability of the student, which is down to the discretion of the teacher. For students to follow the grades are a great way to track progression whilst working towards something, setting individual and group goals! There is also an option to take part in I.S.T.D Examinations, however this is dependent on the students/class ability and commitment. ​
